11 Premier's Awards for Haileybury

Haileybury has again emerged as one of the top academic schools in the State following the announcement of the 2008 VCE Premier’s Awards.

Haileybury students received eleven awards in total.  This follows on from the 9 Premier’s Awards won last year.

 

Shananthan Balachandran received the highly prestigious Top All-Round High Achiever award as well as the subject award for Mathematics.

“Premier’s Awards are given to the top three to five students in each subject area.  In most cases you had to get a study score of 50,” Principal, Mr Derek Scott said.

 

“I would like to congratulate all staff involved in teaching these students during their VCE year.

 

The awards are a further validation of the success of students taking two Units 3 and 4 subjects in Year 11.”         Mr Scott added.
