Haileyburian close to Australian Cricket Selection

Jon is a left-arm spinner who holds the record for the most wickets by a Haileybury student in an APS season (2004 - 44 wickets). His total of 80 APS wickets is also a Haileybury record. He was also awarded with the Captaincy of the 2004 APS Combined Cricket Team and is one of only ten Haileybury bowlers to take more than 50 First XI wickets in the APS Competition.
Only one Haileyburian, Gervys ‘Jerry’ Hazlitt (Class of 1906), has been selected in an Australian Cricket Team and his moment of greatest glory occurred in 1912 when he took 7 for 25 in an Ashes Test.
