The ITU World Championship was held on the weekend of September 9-13 on the Gold Coast. To qualify for this event both Jamie Meyer (student) and Vice Principal Craig Glass needed to race for points over the last 12 months, taking them all over Australia from Perth to Hobart and places in between!
Both Jamie and Mr Glass qualified for the Olympic distance race which involves swimming 1500 m, riding 40 km then running 10 km. Mr Glass completed the event in a time of 2 hours and 27 minutes, finishing in 32nd place in his age group. Jamie finished the race in 2 hours and 5 minutes, in 10th position in his age group.
