Newlands Musical

During the last week of term, the Years 5 and 6 students at Newlands participated in their musical production Honk. Based on the Hans Christian Andersen tale of The Ugly Duckling, the witty script engaged both the children and adults in the audience. Multiple casting for each of the main roles ensured maximum participation for all students. The live musical score provided by the staff band, added to the atmosphere and made the show even more fun for the boys and girls.
This wonderful production, highlighted by the colourful costumes and backdrop, was a credit to all students and staff involved. Special thanks to the Directing Team headed by Mrs Rowena McDowell.
